Maintain your foreign currency in your Indian bank. Cosmos FCNR (B) is a term deposit account that is designed for NRIs and PIOs to invest a minimum deposit of 1000 USD/ EUR/ GBP or 100000 YEN without worrying about currency risks and to earn tax free interests.

Facility
  • The available currencies USD, Euro, GBP and JPY
  • Multiple tenor options from 1 year upto 5 years
  • Renewal allowed on confirmation of residential status of account holder as NRI/PIO
  • Premature Closure of Deposit before 1 year is allowed. But no interest to be paid in this case. However, SWAP costs, if any, can be recovered
  • In case of Premature Closure of Deposit after 1 year, 1% penal interest will be charged and SWAP cost, if any, will be recovered
Documents Required
  • Duly filled Account Opening Form
  • Duly verified photocopies of Passport and Visa to confirm the residential status
  • Duly verified photocopies of overseas address proof as well as of local address in India wherever applicable
  • Any other document to comply with KYC norms, & FATCA / CRS Form
