What is NETC FASTag?
NETC FASTag is a device that employs Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology for making toll payments directly from the Current account linked to it. It is attached to your vehicle's windscreen and allows you to drive through toll plazas without stopping for cash transactions.
Which roads allow the use of the tag?
NETC FASTag is presently operational at 800 + (National plaza count is 702, State plaza is 108 and 25 city plazas) toll plazas across National and State Highways. In the future, more toll plazas will be added to the NETC FASTag program.
What are the charges for NETC FASTag?
NETC FASTag has a one-time Fee for tag issuance exclusive of taxes. In addition, a refundable security deposit, which varies depending on the vehicle type, must be kept with the bank. Please see the Fee section for more information.
Is there a minimum balance required for an account?
Yes, the current account will have a minimum balance of Rs.5000/- and for the savings account minimum amount is Rs. 1000/-. If the account balance falls below the threshold set as per your vehicle class, then all tags linked to the abovementioned account will be marked as having a low balance, and the auto-debit facility for all tags will be removed, forcing the consumer to pay the toll in cash.
When the account balance is restored above the required threshold, the auto-debit facility for all tags is immediately restored.

How can I buy NETC FASTag?
You can visit any branch of Cosmos Bank. (Find nearest branch).Please bring your Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC Book) and a passport-sized photo to the branch, so that we can issue you the Tag as soon as possible. If you have a savings account with the Bank, you can link that account to the NETC FASTag. What are the documents needed to apply for NETC FASTag?
You will need to carry original as well as photocopy of your KYC documents. You need to submit the following documents along with the application for NETC FASTag:
- Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle.
- Passport size photograph of the vehicle owner.
- KYC documents for opening a bank account to be linked with the Tag based on the vehicle owner's category:

Yes, you will have to use the lanes allocated for NETC FASTag at the toll plaza.

I have two vehicles, can one NETC FASTag be used for both?
No, you will need to purchase two separate NETC FASTags for the two vehicles.
How would I know that the correct user fee has been debited from my Cosmos NETC FASTag account?
You will receive an SMS alert on your registered phone number each time the amount is charged to your NETC FASTag linked Cosmos Bank account.
How would I report an incorrect deduction and, how will I get back the same?
You can report an incorrect deduction by calling us at our call center. After due validation and authentication of the dispute raised, the same will be credited back to your Tag-linked Cosmos Bank account.
How do I block my NETC FASTag account in case my Tag is lost/damaged?
You can call up Cosmos Bank Customer Care number and block your NETC FASTag. You can request for issuance of a new Tag linked to your Tag account.
Can NETC FASTag be used for passage through toll plazas on the State Highways?
NETC FASTag is presently operational on 800 + (National plaza count is 702, State plaza is 108 and 25 city plazas) toll plazas on National Highways only where it has been implemented. In the Future, more Toll Plazas will be brought under the ambit of this program.
I have NETC FASTag and also balance amount, but I could not go through the ETC lane. How do I get my NETC FASTag checked/ rectified to see whether it is active or not?
You can raise a request regarding the same by calling our Customer Care number or you can check it on the online portal available for customers provided by Cosmos Bank.
I reside within 20 Km of a particular Toll plaza. Do I need to take NETC FASTag to get the concessions available for local vehicles?
You will need to submit your documents to the concessionaire validating your residence within 10km of a particular plaza. Once it is verified, you may avail of the concession on the NETC FASTag assigned to your vehicle.
Why are the rates different for different vehicle categories?
Vehicles are categorized for the welfare of road users. This categorization is primarily based on the size and load they carry and damage done to the road and type of use (commercial/personnel) of a vehicle.
Why are concessions made to local and frequent users different?
Concession to local/frequent users is extended as welfare measures. There may be variation in the concessions available as these have been provided at different times under different fee rules and provisions of the concession agreement.
Why do we have to pay the full user fee (toll) even though we only travel a short distance on the project road?
In India, the tolling is generally under the open system, whereby the fee payable is a fixed amount based on the length of stretch under one project which is normally 60 kilometres. If a stretch is of lesser length, the user fee of actual length is collected.
What is the normal minimum distance between two adjacent Toll Plazas?
As per the fee rules 2008, the spacing between two adjacent toll plazas should be 60 km.
In case of Harassment/ misconduct/ discourteous/ rude behaviour of toll collection staff, what should we do?
In case of such a scenario, a complaint is to be lodged with the respective Project Directors at the toll plaza.
Why is the user fee (toll) rate different at 2 Toll Plazas?
User fee on a particular fee plaza is based on length stretch under that plaza, structures (bridge, tunnel, and bypass) and width of the highways, applicable fee rules, and provisions of the concessions agreement.
How to get the balance of my CASA account?
Bank has enabled the Missed call services to get the account balance on an immediate basis by just giving a missed call on the Specified number from his/her registered mobile number.
